RBS Citizens Financial Group, parent company of the Citizens Bank and Charter One brands, is looking for a savvy and versatile social media manager to join its growing social media team.  The primary responsibility of this position will be to help manage the expansion of our social media program and the supporting infrastructure.  This includes a broad range of responsibilities including managing the implementation of social customer experiences, expansion of and optimization of social platforms, program measurement, selection and implementation of social platforms and enterprise technologies, and vendor management. This person will also work collaboratively with our community managers on content and customer service strategies.

The right person for this position will be a digital marketing professional who is a passionate advocate for and user of social media and online communities with a strong understanding of brand, content marketing, mobile, SEO, and other related disciplines. He/she will be a technology-oriented, strategic thinker and skilled project manager who can envision the future and execute it.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to package and sell new and complex ideas to a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of an organization. You should be able to juggle multiple tasks efficiently and deliver high quality output with superior attention to detail. In our fast-paced environment, you should be able to think on your feet and problem solve proactively.

  • Education: Bachelors degree required; BA in Marketing or related field preferred; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in Social Media with at least 8 to 10 years overall in digital marketing/strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and project management skills
  • Previous agency experience or client-side experience managing agencies required
  • Familiarity with listening tools (Crimson Hexagon, Radian 6, etc), publishing platforms (CoTweet, Vitrue, Buddy Media, etc. and analytics packages (Webtrends, Omniture, etc.)

Hours per Week:   40
Work Schedule:    Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
